What are the source IP addresses of the scans?

In order for the Pentest-Tools.com scanners to finalize without obstruction you should whitelist the following FQDN: scanners.pentest-tools.com

You should know that some firewalls allow you to start the scan but they can block our scanners mid-scan due to some tests performed (such as SQLi or XSS Payloads). This behavior results in incomplete and unreliable scan results.

You should also whitelist the IP addresses of our scanners if you encounter any of these situations:

  • You receive the “Website / URL is not accessible” error when trying to run a scan and your website is not down
  • You are running a port scan and no open ports are found
  • Your scan stops unexpectedly before finishing all tests

In all of the above cases, you need to whitelist the following FQDN: scanners.pentest-tools.com. This resolves to multiple IP addresses used by our scanning servers. We frequently add new IPs, so it would be best to whitelist the above-mentioned hostname.
