      Use two-factor authentication for your account

      Increase the security of your account with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

      You can use your mobile device with any authenticator app to login with the second factor. For this demo, we used Google Authenticator.

      You can set-up your 2FA by following these easy steps:

      1. Install the Google Authenticator app from the Play Store on your phone.

      Search for ”Google Authenticator” in the App Store and install it.

      2. From your PentestTools.com account, select the ”Setup 2FA” option. 

      If your account is not enabled, you will encounter this message “2FA is not enabled for your account”.


      You will have 2 options: scan the QR code or enter the 16-digit generated code.

      3. A QR code and an associated 16-letters code will be generated on your screen. Using your preferred method, create your account.

      On your phone, select the preffered method.

      4. You will receive a 6-digit code that expires every 30 seconds. Enter that code in the Setup screen in your PentestTools.com account and you’re done!

      Next time you log into your account, you will be required to enter a 6-digit code. You can find it in your Google Authenticator app. Make sure you enter it before it expires. 

      Enter the 6-digit code generated by your authenticator device.

      If you encounter the error “The code you have supplied is not valid. Please try again” in your PentestTools.com account, you need to remove the account from the Google Authenticator app and try again by following the steps above.
